Why You Need Mekis
Beard Wash in Your Routine and why it differs from your regular shampoos
Did you know that odour occurs when bacteria get trapped in
your body hair?
Well, your beard is no exception to this.
Secretion of natural oils and build-up of external
pollutants and even food can yor beard a perfect area for bacterial growth
Using our beard wash regularly during your daily face wash
routine is a must to help prevent the build-up of bacteria and keep your beard
smelling great.
Due to male hormones, like testo and DHT, beards have
a coarser consistency than head hair.
Unfortunately, this thick, coarse hair can make your beard
look untidy, feel prickly and cause beard rash.
Our Beard wash is specially formulated to soften and smooth
beard hair for a neater looking beard.
How does Mekis Beard Wash Differ from your Regular Shampoos
Regular shampoo (the one you use for the hair on your head)
is designed to remove the natural oils from your hair and contains ingredients
to help do this: sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) and
cocamidopropyl betaine.
These ingredients, along with other ingredients like citric
acid, panthenol and zinc pyrithione are great because they stop hair looking
greasy, which none of us want.
Your beard, however, rely on the natural oils that regular
shampoo is removing to stay strong, healthy and manageable.
Strip them away and you’re left with facial hair that’s dry,
coarse and brittle.
The roots of the hair also become weaker, which leads to
split ends and patchiness due to hair loss.
So our beard wash contains different ingredients that are
designed to preserve the natural oils and keep your mane in peak condition.
While all shampoos are designed to clean, our beard wash is
specifically formulated to clean, moisturize and soften your beard too.
